Wow, this is exciting! The first North American release of Sauvignon Rytos (and among the first anywhere). This is Sauvignon Blanc bred with obscure Hungarian grape Bianca. Maison Murri is a brand new project from restaurateur Steven Karataglidis, producing only about 100 cases.
Whole bunch pressed, naturally fermented with indigenous yeasts, aged in French oak where it underwent full malolactic fermentation, and bottled unfined and unfiltered with minimal sulphur. Rich and soft but with a fresh, stony minerality and ageability.
