In this vintage there were five distinct blocks of Chardonnay that were divided into dozens of micro-parcels each with their character and nuance. The 2023 Chardonnay is a reflection of our efforts to create complex wines through diverse wines in the cellar.
The gentle use of oak is apparent on the nose with subtle aromas of toast and vanilla. A backbone of tree fruit - pear and nectarine – along with Twenty Mile Bench’s signature minerality rounds out the aroma profile. On the palate the wine is balanced, elegant and fruity with hints of pineapple and tangerine. Followed by a lovely, long citrus and mineral finish.
