100% estate grown Viognier, medium golden straw colour. Lovely aromas and flavours of nectarine, peach, citrus zest, candied ginger, white flowers, honeysuckle, orange blossom, orange liqueur, cloves.
The wine has medium-plus weight, a pleasant creaminess, and a lightly oily texture. Medium acidity supports a long and somewhat spicy finish revealing notes of ginger, cloves, and black pepper.
The fruit was hand-picked 13 October 2021 and underwent a wild fermentation in barrel to dry at 2.4 g/L residual sugar and 13.4% abv, with 18-months élevage in barrel on lees. Estate bottled 3 May 23. 73 cases made.
