This future classic comes from the esteemed Foxcroft vineyard in the Twenty Mile Bench sub-appelation. This cab franc was fermented with natural yeasts and aged eighteen months in neutral French oak barrels.
After an initial farmyard whiff on the nose, the wine opens to a swathe of blue and black fruits, a full mid-palate and a seam of Cab Franc’s herbaceous character. Finished solidly with balanced acidity. this is classic Niagara franc. Pair with red meats to draw out the full complexity of this bottle, or age for years and watch it evolve into a classic.
